Paula Kalamaras '76 I own a research, writing and investment facilitating company and have done that for about 12 years. I am the co-author of 5 non-fiction books and in my spare time I occasionally teach for CWRU's off campus studies program: Beowulf, 14th Century History, Jane Austen, The Brontes, Restoration England, Tudor England and Eleanor of Acquitaine. email: paulamari@adelphia.net

Daniel Sturkey '84 I have worked for the last 24 years as a social worker in Columbus. My wife, also a OWU graduate, and I have been together now 27 years. We enjoy traveling as often as possible and have an ongoing project of restoring a 19th century Victorian house.

Peter Marbais '95 Much has happened lately, and all Humanities-Classics majors should know that they have an edge on other undergraduates. Everything I've accomplished since graduating from OWU can be thanked, in part, to the Humanities Classics department.
I'll begin an assistant professorship at Mount Olive College, just outside of Raleigh, NC, in June of this year. I'm not so sure I would have received this possition, the teaching fellowshipat Kent State, visiting professorship at Bethany College, or tenure at Hutchinson Community College without the mentoring and encouragement I've received from OWU.
My background in Greco-Roman literature and mythology and in other comparative studies gave me an edge over my colleagues who were English majors when it came time for course selection. With my background, I was able to win the bid for teaching World Mythology, a much-sought-after course at HCC. I plan to use my experience to create new courses at Mount Olive College.
